Distance Learning and Student Activity Recommendation

Dear TMEMS/Casita families,

We hope you all are safe and doing well.  We are excited to announce that our “Distance Learning and Student Activity Recommendation” pages are up on our website!  Our dedicated teachers and staff have put countless hours into developing this online distance-learning curriculum for our students.  As a school we wanted to offer some ideas for engaging your child while our campuses are closed.  We hope these ideas and curriculum will assist you in these trying times.

We will be updating the information on our website pages, as needed.  Please be patient with us as we work through this new distance-learning technique and work out any kinks that occur.  We appreciate your continued support and hope you find this information helpful!  If you have any questions regarding user names, passwords, curriculum questions, technical issues, etc, please contact your child’s teacher first during the regular work week.  You should receive an email back from your child’s teacher within 24 hours regarding curriculum and any student work questions.  If your child’s teacher is not able to help with technical issues that arise, please email techsupport@tmesnm.com so we can do our best to resolve the issue.

On our main “Distance Learning & Student Activity Recommendations” page, there is information about how to sign into the Chromebooks students have checked out from TMEMS.  If you did not pick-up a Chromebook from TMEMS, you are still able to receive a Google sign-in through our school.  Directions and more details are on our website.  All of our distance-learning curriculum can be accessed from any Android or Apple device too so every student is still able to participate in our distance learning recommendations!

You should be receiving an email from your child’s teacher with more specific information about your child’s level.  If you do not receive the email today, please contact your child’s teacher directly.  Teacher email addresses are available on each level’s page.  To get to the Distance Learning & Student Activity Recommendation main page, please go to our website, and it is the last option under our Student Life tab.  Here is the direct link: {site_url}school-life/student-activity-recommendations .  You will be able to click to each level’s page from there.

We hope you will also join us in maintaining a strong school community!  A “Community Fun Calendar” has been created and everyone is invited to join in.  We have daily activities for families to have fun together and share pictures on our school Facebook page.  You will see more details on this at the bottom of every level page.  A printable calendar is also available on our Distance Learning & Student Activity Recommendation pages.

All of us at TMEMS/Casita wish your family health and happiness.  We miss our students and families and hope to see everyone as soon as it is safe to do so!  Please keep up-to-date via email and our website as we will continue to send out updates as information warrants.

In partnership,

Mary Jane Besante & Stan Albrycht
