Yearbook Opt Out

We are in the planning stages of our 2023-2024 TMEMS Yearbook. If you would like to opt your child OUT of the yearbook (their name and photo would not appear in the yearbook), please email Ashley Pacheco (apacheco@tmesnm.com) to opt out no later than 2/26/24. 

TMEMS Spring Gala Update

We are excited to announce our annual TMEMS Gala on March 15th, 2024! Our students have been practicing all year to show off their skills at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. A full event packet will be going home with students soon. TMEMS Gala: Will be an evening to celebrate the Fine Arts at TMEMS with performances by:

  • Kindergarten and 1st Grade

  • 2nd and 3rd Grade strings

  • 4th and 5th grade Strings and Orchestra

  • Advanced Orchestra

  • Middle School Orchestra

  • Middle School Dance

  • Middle School Musical Theater

We are in need of sponsors so please help us make this a successful event by asking businesses to purchase a sponsorship and also by purchasing tickets to the event. Our goal this year is to raise $25,000! All proceeds for this event will go to our Student Funds as well as to our Educational Assistant Fund to help us provide much needed assistants in our classrooms.

We hope you will join us the evening of Friday, March 15th, 2024 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Thank you in advance for your help and participation! Our students and staff appreciate the support too. Your student will be coming home with a complete event paper packet soon!

Parent Information Meeting (2/22/24)

We are excited to invite you to a special Parent Information Meeting focused on understanding childhood mental health. As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the well-being of our students and families, we will be delivering a talk on the importance of mental health. We believe that providing valuable insights and resources on this topic is essential to the wellbeing of our community.

Date: February 22, 2024 

Time: 3:00-4:00pm 

Location: Montano Campus in Ms. Sherry's classroom

Key topics of discussion will include:

  • Understanding Childhood Mental Health: We will explore common mental health challenges that children may face, including anxiety, depression, and emotional stressors.

  • Accessing Mental Health Resources: Learn about the available resources and support networks within our community that can assist families in navigating tough emotional times.

  • Strategies for Managing Tough Emotional Moments: Discover practical tips and techniques for parents to help their children cope with and manage tough emotional situations effectively.

TMEMS Upcoming Events

  • Friendship Day (2/14/24) Please make sure to check with your student’s teacher regarding expectations for Valentine’s and treats. 

  • Our Eighth-grade students are gearing up for their Volunteer Internships. Our eighth graders will be volunteering and learning from our community partners while they learn about various career opportunities and gain real-life experience as an adult. If you are interested in hosting a student this or next year please reach out to Ms Alissa, asanchez@tmesnm.com.
