Intent to Return for the 2024-2025 School Year

Purpose of this form: The Intent to Return Form helps inform TMEMS administration of the spots that we have available for the upcoming new student lottery that will occur February 27th, 2024 at the Board Meeting. Without this form, administration does not have an idea of how many spots we have available and cannot make sure we have the correct enrollment numbers which correlates directly with our school funding. Please complete this Intent to Return form so we may accurately plan for the upcoming school year, 2024-2025.
 

We need one form for each individual current TMEMS student. If you have siblings that attend TMEMS, you will fill out multiple forms, one for each child. 

Please remember that:
 

• Without a complete Intent to Return form, we may not be able to place your child in their current class for the upcoming school year, 2024-2025.
   

• Siblings of current TMEMS students are admitted if appropriate space is available.  An 'Application for Admission' form is still required for any, not currently enrolled, sibling admission.
   

• Kindergarten Families: If you are in our TMEMS pre-k program and wish to enroll your student in kindergarten at TMEMS, you will need to complete an application for kindergarten. Drop Off Reminder

We want to remind you of 2 things regarding drop off- 

1. Our traffic is one way in the mornings for both Elementary and Middle School. Please follow the traffic pattern and do not turn around and go the opposite direction. This is unsafe for our students and causes traffic congestion. 

2. If your child is dropped off late, you must come into the office and sign them in. 

   1. School starts at 8:40 am for Mid School and 8:45 am for K-5.

   2. In accordance with Section III.5 of our handbook:

      1. TARDY PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES, we encourage parents to ensure that their children arrive at school at least five minutes prior to the beginning of classes. This allows students to put away their belongings, socialize, and be prepared for the day ahead. If a child is late, we kindly request that the parent escort the child to the office to sign in. Subsequently, the student will be accompanied or sent to class by school personnel.

Pick Up Reminder

If your student is going home with a friend you must contact Ms. Brenda (bjohnson@tmesnm.com) and the homeroom teacher. In the email, include your student’s first and last name and the first and last name of the student they are authorized to go home with. We cannot release students to unauthorized individuals. 

You can find your child’s teacher’s email in your Infinite Campus app or through the parent portal. 

• Through the app:  open the app => scroll to the bottom => click on “contact list”

• Through the online parent portal:  log into your parent portal through a computer => from the main screen click on “contact list”

AOL and Yahoo Email Issue

We have recently discovered that Yahoo and AOL email addresses are not accepting our @tmesnm.com emails. If you use an AOL or Yahoo email address, you will need to make an alternative email such as Microsoft or Gmail to receive emails from TMEMS until we have a fix for this issue. If you use Yahoo or AOL, please email your alternative email address to Claudia Infante (cinfante@tmesnm.com). Include your name, your child’s name, and your alternative email address. Thank you for your understanding while we try to find a fix to this issue. 

Star Party Canceled

Unfortunately, the star party was canceled for this year. If you paid for this event last December, you should have received an email about a refund yesterday (1/25/24) from Claudia Infante. Please email Ms. Claudia (cinfante@tmesnm.com) if you did not receive this refund information. 

4th Grade students only- NAEP testing (2/1/24)

Please see this important letter regarding the NAEP Assessment on February 1, 2024.   

Please ensure your 4th grade student is dropped off on time February 1, 2024 and has a good breakfast the morning of this test. The testing proctors will be starting the test at 9:00 am sharp. Thank you. 

Student-Led Conferences (2/2/2024)

Student-Led Conferences for both the Montano and Carmel campuses are coming up on 2/2/2024! 

SLCs are where students choose a work/s and/or assignment to showcase and model for their families. These conferences have multiple families in the room during one time slot. These are not meant to be one on one conferences but are for students to show parents/guardians what they are working on in class. 

Your student’s teacher sent out a SignUpGenius link and more information on their classroom specific information on Wednesday, 1/17/24!  

There will be no regular classes or before or after care that day. 

TMEMS Open House 2/3/24- Spread the Word! 

We will be having our annual TMEMS Open House on 2/3/24. This is when parents/guardians that are not enrolled at TMEMS can come and visit our campus and fill out an application for the next school year (2024/2025). Spread the word to any family or friends who may be interested in TMEMS for the upcoming school year! 

Remember, this is for prospective parents. Students and families already enrolled at TMEMS for the 23/24 school year do not need to fill out another application for the 24/25 school year. 

Main Campus location-1730 Montano is from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon 

Casita Campus location-5801 Carmel is from 12:30-1:30 pm

TMEMS Spring Fine Arts Gala (3/15/2024)

Save the date! We will be having our PK-8th grade Spring Fine Arts Gala on 3/15/24. This will be an after school event and more details about time frames will be sent soon.  

Please keep an eye for more information about this upcoming event/fundraiser for TMEMS!
