Safe School Planning |
Emergency Preparedness in New Mexico Schools In New Mexico, all public school districts are required to have a comprehensive safe school plan. This plan includes measures to inform families about emergency procedures and how they will be notified in case of an emergency. Here is an overview of the procedures TMEMS will use during emergencies:
Emergency Response at School If a disaster or emergency occurs while school is in session, rest assured that our school is well-prepared to respond effectively. Public schools in New Mexico meet rigorous construction standards and are often safer than many homes during a disaster.
Instructions for Parents/Guardians during an Emergency To ensure a smooth emergency response, please follow these instructions:
Emergency Announcements and Notifications For emergency announcements, refer to the school website, local media channels, and social media platforms. Use the Infinite Campus App for day-to-day school operations. If you have opted into our mass notification system, you will receive updates via phone, text, and/or email.
Off-Campus Relocation and Reunification Plan In some emergencies, students may be relocated to an off-campus site. Our school has a relocation and family reunification plan in place. Students will only be released from the relocation site to custodial parents/guardians or authorized individuals listed on the school emergency system. Our designated relocation sites (where students are rerouted and held temporarily) are:
Our designated reunification site (this is where parents would pick up students in an emergency) is:
Shelter-in-Place Procedures If there is a hazardous material release near the school, shelter-in-place procedures will be implemented. Students and staff will be directed to clear the fields and report to their classrooms. Efforts will be made to prevent outside air from entering the classrooms during the emergency.
Case by Case Consideration Please note that the specifics of our emergency response plan may vary on a case-by-case basis and are subject to change. It is essential to stay informed through official school communication channels. |
Intent to Return for the 2024-2025 School Year |
Link to Intent to Return: https://forms.gle/KWaAyMCdMmWrRm488 Purpose of this form: The Intent to Return Form helps inform TMEMS administration of the spots that we have available for the upcoming new student lottery that will occur in late February. Without this form, administration does not have an idea of how many spots we have available and cannot make sure we have the correct enrollment numbers which correlates directly with our school funding. Please complete this Intent to Return form so we may accurately plan for the upcoming school year, 2024-2025. We need one form for each individual current TMEMS student. If you have siblings that attend TMEMS, you will fill out multiple forms, one for each child. Please remember that:
If you have any questions, please email: Ms. Amanda at ahagerty@tmesnm.com.

Student Led Conferences (2/2/2024) |
Student Led Conferences for both the Montano and Carmel campuses are coming up on 2/2/2024!
SLCs are where students choose a work/s and/or assignment to showcase and model for their families. These conferences have multiple families in the room during one time slot. These are not meant to be one on one conferences but are for students to show parents/guardians what they are working on in class.
Your student’s teacher will be sending out a SignUpGenius link and more information on their classroom specific information on Wednesday, 1/17/24, by 4:00pm so keep an eye out!
There will be no regular classes or before or after care that day. |
4th Grade Students Only |
Please see this important letter regarding the NAEP Assessment on February 1, 2024. |
TMEMS Open House - Spread the Word! |
We will be having our annual TMEMS Open House on 2/3/24. This is when parents/guardians that are not enrolled at TMEMS can come and visit our campus and fill out an application for the next school year (2024/2025). Spread the word to any family or friends who may be interested in TMEMS for the upcoming school year! Remember, this is for prospective parents. Students and families already enrolled at TMEMS for the 23/24 school year do not need to fill out another application for the 24/25 school year. |
