First Day of School Reminders!
Dear TMEMS families,
Tomorrow, Monday, August 2nd, is the first day of school! Here are some quick reminders:
o Schedule:
o Before Care: 6:45 -8:45 am
o Regular Drop-off for all students: 8:45 – 9:00 am
o Regular Pick-up for Elementary students who do NOT have a TMMS sibling: 3:10 – 3:25 pm
o Regular Pick-up for Middle School families (plus TMMS siblings): 3:30 – 3:45 pm
o After Care: available until 6:00 pm
• Before and After Care is available, beginning tomorrow, at both the Carmel Campus and the Montano Campus! (Please note: Kindergarten can join Before Care for the first week of school but *cannot* join After Care until the second week of school.) Before Care begins at 6:45 am and is $5/day per student. If you need to drop your child off before 8:45 am, they will need to be part of our Before Care program, no matter what age they are. After Care goes until 6:00 pm and is $10/day per student and includes a snack.
• Drop-off is between 8:45 – 9:00 am for ALL students. Don’t forget that we cannot have anyone in the building except for staff and students so we will ask you to go no further than the front door or gate. Thank you for understanding. Our staff will be stationed throughout the campuses to help students to class.
• Montano Campus families- The Drop-off and Pick-up procedure is NOT the same as last year so it is imperative that you look at the map (attached to this email) to understand the changes for this year. Middle School students and their siblings will be dropped off/picked up on the North side of the building, while Elementary families without TMMS students will drop off/ pick up in the big parking lot on the South side of the building. Please be kind as everyone gets used to this new routine!
• Things students need to bring everyday:
o Lunch and snack
o Filled water bottle
o Mask (and maybe a spare too!)
We are excited to get the 2021-2022 school year started! Thank you for all your support so far. Please remember that everyone is doing their best to make it another wonderful year at TMEMS so your patience, kindness and understanding goes a long way in helping to create that community environment we all want for our students! P.S. Have you registered your child yet?! It is important that everyone take the time (only takes about 10 minutes!) to register their child before the start of the school day tomorrow. Please log into your Tyler SIS account to register. There will be a yellow banner at the top of the page letting you know if you have not registered yet. If your child is new to our school, or you have updated shot records for your child, please email those to Ms. Brenda at bjohnson@tmesnm.com .
