World Children’s Day
World Children's Day Montano Campus: We are preparing for World Children's Day, a tradition at TMEMS and a celebration of learning about other cultures and children in the world. We would like to invite families to celebrate with us on Friday, November 17th, 2023 as follows:
- 9:00-9:30 Watch as students parade around the school with flags from the country they researched.
- 9:30-10:00 Grade 3-5 families only: gallery walk around classrooms and view projects (this does not include sampling food)
- 10:00 Families depart as students continue their work in class (please do not take your child, they will be giving presentations and be audience members)
Please see the attached map for parking information for World Children's Day on our Montano Campus.
Families should have received information about research projects for 3rd-5th grade, and optional projects for K-2nd. Please refer to your homeroom teacher if you missed that information. In addition, we are adding a component this year wherein students can bring a dish or food to sample from their country of research. Please note, that only students with permission on a Google Form will be allowed to participate in the sampling. Look for a permission slip Google Form from your child's homeroom teacher in the near future. All dishes should be accompanied by an ingredient list to ensure students with allergies are informed.
If you have questions, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.
World Children's Day Carmel Campus: Please keep an eye out for an email with more information from your Carmel Campus teachers! They have a fun morning planned for their students as well.
