TMEMS/Casita Annual Jog-A-Thon

Our annual Jog-A-Thon is one of our biggest annual fundraisers with all of the donations going towards the Educational Assistant (EA) Fund. Every student benefits immensely from having EAs in the classrooms so we ask all families to participate in this fundraiser. We hope to raise $25,000 with our Jog-A-Thon this year in order to help us keep our full time Educational Assistants in our classrooms.

 

NEW THIS YEAR: 

  • We have a new Jog-A-Thon website through PledgeStar!  Once you sign up for an account, you can share this event easily though email, text and social media.  To sign up for a PledgeStar account for your TMES/TMMS/Casita student:
    • Go to http://pledgestar.com/tmems
    • Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
    • Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”
    • Follow the instructions on-screen to register students

 

  • We will have the event at both the Montano and the Carmel campuses!  Your child will get to participate at their campus and we encourage parents from both campuses to join in on the fun too.

The more volunteers, the better so please sign up for any amount of time you are available. We are in need of volunteers to help with:

 

*Setting up the morning of the event, starting about 8:30 am *Breakdown after the event, starting at about 12:30 pm (Montano Campus) or 10:00 am (Carmel Campus) *Marking laps as students are competing in the event.

*Miscellaneous jobs during the event

*Help with donations of water, oranges, ice pops and prizes!

*Fans and supporters to help encourage our kids!

*General help before the event day

We also have many items that we need donated to make this event a HUGE success for our students! Sign-up to bring oranges, water, popsicles, etc. at the signup.com links above.

 

Join us!

The Jog-A-Thon is a fun event for the whole family! If you would like to jog with your child(ren), great! You are welcome to do so. You are also welcome to bring younger children in strollers and push them. (No pets are allowed, however.)

Is my donation tax deductible?

YES! Any donation (items or monetary) are tax deductible. If you make an online donation through PledgeStar, a receipt will be sent to you once the transaction is complete. If you donate items (prizes, food, etc.) or pay for a donation using cash or check (made out to 'TMES'), please request a receipt from the school.

 

What are you raising money for?

The funds raised from the Jog-A-Thon are used to pay the salaries for our EAs – Educational Assistants during the 2019-2020 school year. Please help fund our EAs and support our public school students!

 

Do I have to donate through PledgeStar?

If you would prefer to make a cash or check donation, you are welcome to do so through our school.  If you would like to make a cash or check (made out to 'TMES') donation, please mail it to:

We appreciate each and every donation- no matter the amount! Every donation goes towards our 'Educational Assistant Fun' which makes a huge impact on our student's every-day school experience. Thank you for your support!

 

I would like to join in on the fun with my student! Is that possible?

YES! If you would like to walk/jog/run with your student, please feel free to put on your sneakers and join them during their laps in the Jog-A-Thon. Please feel free to bring smaller siblings in strollers, etc. You are also welcome to support your child and other students from the sideline by cheering them on as they make their way around the school.  Please keep pets at home.

 

I only have 45 minutes to volunteer. Can I still help?

YES! We can use all the help we can get. There are many ways to lend a hand in the success of the Jog-A-Thon and volunteers play a vital role in that. No matter if you can spend the entire day with us, or just your lunch break, we welcome you to join us by cheering on students, marking laps as they run by, cutting up oranges, tallying laps and pledges, filling up cups of water, and much more!

 

Is The Montessori Elementary School (TMES) and The Montessori Middle School (TMMS) a public school?
